Rhema Child Care Ministry is an early age, Christian-based education program for children ages 6-weeks through kindergarten. We offer children a Christian environment that nurtures, supports and assists in their development. At Rhema, we believe the work of God and the love of Jesus can and should be interwoven within the entire school day. Children will have numerous opportunities to master readiness skills for academic achievement through various activities which will inspire children and create in them a curiosity for learning.
Each class includes components of math readiness, reading, language development, science, social studies, art and music; all components are derived from the A Beka Bible curriculum.
In addition to the basics, we include creative activities, such as special guests, field trips and supervised outdoor play. We highly encourage parental involvement both in the classroom and at home.
Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM 6:00 PM with instruction time from 9:00 AM 4:00 PM. Part-time attendance (3 day minimum) is available. Tours must be scheduled through the office. Rhema is dedicated to employing the most caring, qualified teachers, assistants and staff. We offer low student to teacher ratios. Philosophy
Rhema Child Care Ministry is an early childhood Christian based ministry for children ages 6 weeks through kindergarten.
At Rhema, we believe the work of God and the love of Jesus is expressed. Activities are planned daily which will inspire children and build a curiosity for creative learning and exploration.
RCCM believes that is everyone's responsibility to equip God's people (children) to do his work and buildup the church (Ephesians 4:2).
Caregivers and teachers are trained and equipped to effectively
implement biblical principles in academic settings. Children are taught biblical content, scripture
memory and character development. Family involvement is richly encouraged. A Rhema Parent
Organization (RPO) has been established for all parents wishing to become a volunteer in any capacity.
A Beka Bible Curriculum
Three decades ago, God raised up A Beka Book to provide Christian schools with God-honoring, high-quality textbooks and teaching aids to help each school fulfill the goal of its ministry. The hundreds of traditional Christian educational materials developed by A Beka Book have been developed and refined over a period of 50 years in the classrooms of Pensacola Christian Academy. Christian schools throughout the nation recognize that A Beka Book sets the standard of excellence in the publishing of textbooks and other materials for Christian schools.
At A Beka Book, we are unashamedly Christian and traditional in our approach to education. The A Beka Book approach to Christian education keeps learning lively, interesting, and memorable. Our materials reflect sensible theory that is firmly anchored to practicality. A Beka Book materials have been developed as a result of 50 years of actual classroom experience in Pensacola Christian Academy, one of Americas largest and most respected Christian day schools.
Character Formation of the Student
We Believe:
The primary goal of our program is to develop the intellect of each child; the product of Christian education is the supernatural man who thinks, judges and acts in accordance with right reason and is the true and finished man of character. (St. Marys School Board, 2007)
The essential integrity of life should be fostered through a supernaturally, motivated self-discipline calling into play theological and moral values that harmonize together.
There is a need to counteract the social evils of our time and the loss or lessening of moral principles makes it necessary for Rhema Child Care Ministry and Pre-School to exist.
So in order to achieve strong Christian Character, children must experience the spiritual strength inherent to prayer, along with a developed personal relationship with Christ. At Rhema, this is our every intention.
We are located at 7880 Lafayette Road, directly next to New Life Worship Center.
Rhema Child Care Ministry will provide children the opportunity to develop physically and cognitively through a variety of methods.
Children are able to develop large motor skills in a full size gym. Activites such as basketball, soccer and parachute play is intergrated into the daily lesson plan. Children also have the opportunity to run, jump, skip and hop without interruptions!
Dramatic Play allows children to devlop and increase social, emotional and language development. Children have the opportunity to interact in small groups with adult caregivers role playing various occupations and professions.
Children enjoy creating masterpieces. From bubble art to finger paint children have the opportunity and ability to get messy in the Art room. Weekley activites are interwoven in the lesson plan and daily schedule to allow children to expound upon what has been taught are just GET MESSY!
In a technology driven world, children will become introduced to beginning computer literacy skills.
